Guided Meditation Online Classes
Hypnotherapy can be broken down into two things, hypnosis and therapy. Hypnosis is a means of changing the state of mind, now this is not mind control, it’s a way of slowing the brainwaves down allowing you to access a relaxed state, a state in hypnosis we refer to as trance state. This change of state is similar to when you go to sleep and how the brainwaves go from the faster alert state waves slowing down to a relaxed state as you're just drifting off in the very slow waves of deep sleep. Trance state is closest to that relaxed state just before you fall to sleep. Therapy simply refers to the therapeutic work that can be done under hypnosis. In this trance state you are able to access the subconscious mind while the conscious mind drifts off somewhere else entirely.
Now I believe that everyone holds the answers to their own issues, because isn’t it true that only you know what’s right for you. Now if you have all the answers well shouldn’t it be easy to fix? Sometimes we know the answer consciously but we just cannot seem to put it into action. That can be because everything we do has a positive intension whether that’s biting your nails to relieve stress or eating for comfort. Then there are the times when we just don’t know what to do. This is why working on a subconscious level can be so powerful in affecting change.
I like to think of the conscious mind as the overthinker, the mind that comes up with more questions than answers. Sometimes, it can potentially limit your beliefs, behaviours and feelings. On the other hand the subconscious mind is more direct and it brings clarity to the right direction for you. My role as a hypnotherapist is to help guide you through your subconscious mind so that you can learn why you do things a particular way, a way that you wish to change, and to learn new positive behaviours so you can choose the right solution for you to achieve your goals.

Sports Hypnosis and Mind Coaching
Hypnosis has been used as a performance enhancing tool in sport for many years with the first documented evidence of this was in the 1950’s when the Russian’s took a team of hypnotherapists to the Olympic Games. In 1973 boxer Ken Norton used hypnosis ahead of his fight with Mohammed Ali, he went in as the underdog and came out victorious. Ali began using hypnosis shortly after this defeat. Other sporting names that have utilized hypnosis to enhance their performance include Mike Tyson, Tiger Woods, Roger Federer, Lewis Hamilton, David Beckham and Michael Jordan.
It can be said that hypnosis can do for the mind what physical activity can do for the body. An athletes mental state can impact performance during training and competition and can be beneficial to coaches as well as athletes. Sports hypnosis has many benefits,
It can help to reinforce sporting goals
It can help athletes to handle nervousness
It can help to manage stress in high pressure environments
It improves concentration
It eliminates distractions
It assists in controlling pain
It increases performance motivation
It improves bodily awareness
It can accelerate recovery
In addition to one to one work of hypnosis I also run a weekly guided mediation class that helps to accelerate your recovery meaning you can train at your best.
Group Guided Meditation Relaxation Classes
Group relaxation classes run each week online making them accessible to all. Similar to hypnosis you also reach this deep level of relaxation, this slows down your brainwaves and allows you to access a wide range of benefits. The theta brainwaves state is typically accessed during deep levels of meditation, while this state maybe accessible self-meditation it takes a great amount of time and practice. Many people find it much easier to focus and relax deeper when they have someone guiding them through this meditation. The benefits of the theta brainwave state is vast
It reduces stress and anxiety levels
It accelerates healing and recovery
It boosts immune function
It helps to alleviate aches and pains
It releases endorphins
It reduces blood pressure
It improves learning
It enhances creativity
It improves memory
It creates focus
It improves problem solving
As you can see these group classes offer many benefits without the need for the therapeutic work one to one hypnotherapy offers. This can help you to manage the day to day life or work stresses we all encounter or just give you the time and space to unwind and let go. They also compliment one to one sessions for those receiving therapy.
In person appointments offer that more personal touch being able to see and interact with your therapist face to face bringing the comfort and support you might need to help you through your therapy. Appointments are run from my consultation room at 33 Forester Road, Nottingham, NG3 6LP. It is easily accessible with just one small doorstep straight into my consultation room.
Hypnotherapy works much the same online as it does face to face. While some people prefer to visit the clinic there are many benefits to therapy online. Not only does it give you a wider access to a therapist who would otherwise be too far from your location, it also cuts down on travel time. Most people enjoy the comfort and security of their own home during online appointment, all you will need is a quite room where you will not be disturbed during your appointment
Home Visit Appointments
If you feel you are unable to make the journey to my clinic and would like a face to face appointment, home visit appointments are limited but are available on request. Please get in touch to find out more.
