The impact of coronavirus on our Mental Health

The after effects of the Coronavirus Pandemic will live on for many years to come. Its bought far more devastation to our doors than just the loss of lives. As well as those who have lost loved ones, there are those who have lost jobs, the relationship that have broken down and the broken homes those with children now face. With an increase in people working from home, the home has lost is power as a place to relax, you can’t leave your work stress at the office when the office is your home. The same can be said for the children with broken schooling and learning from home.


Stress, anxiety and depression are at a high and the impact on our mental health will take some time to heal. Its important to remember your not alone, it takes courage to reach out to others, to let them in to our darkest thoughts and feelings, but together anything is possible. So find your person, whether that’s someone close or not, or even someone from a charity such as the Samaritans or Mind but never feel you have to stand alone.


When you are ready it can help to find a therapist. Make sure you feel comfortable with them as this will help to be more open about your thoughts and feelings. They will be able to help you with coping strategies as well as guiding you through a therapeutic journey to give you a more positive outlook for the future.


So whoever you are and where ever you are lets stand together against mental health issues whether that’s reaching out to someone or checking in on someone we can all come together to support those in need.
